Our newest fair trade partner in India has been making 'tree-free' paper products for nearly 15 years. They employ over 100 women in this eco-friendly craft and provide healthcare assistance to new mothers.
Each item is made from recycled hosiery cuttings that have been processed, dyed, cut and hole-punched. This provides a steady supply of safe and diginified women in New Delhi.
This hanging star lantern is handmade in India from tree-free paper. Artists recycle cotton hosiery cuttings then dye, decorate and cut the “paper” by hand. This is a fair trade handcraft that provides a fair wage in a safe and dignified working environment. 5 pointed star measures 22 inches in a shimmery red hue. Bulb heat protector included.
