Join the Fashion Revolution

Exactly two years ago, 1133 people were killed and over 2500 injured when the Rana Plaza factory complex collapsed in Dhaka, Bangladesh. This tragic event was a big wake up call and the Fashion Revolution was born. It's an unfortunate fact that sometimes it takes a tragic event like this to grab people's attention, but, if nothing else, it has started a very important dialog.

The Fashion Revolution calls on consumers to question where their apparel is made and, more importantly, by whom. Be curious about your fashion, get engaged in the supply chain and, above all, acknowledge that your clothing and accessories do not appear out of thin air. A real live human being made what you are wearing and we need to do our part as conscientious consumers to ensure that working conditions are fair. Imagine the thread from the garment, to the machinist who sewed it, all the way down to the farmer who grew the cotton.

Today marks the second Fashion Revolution day held annually on April 24. To be a part, take a selfie showing your clothing label, tag the brand on social media and ask #whomademyclothes.
